Many "boomerangs" on the market do not even have proper boomerang airfoils. However, we know how to make real returning boomerangs. We have extensive video and print instructions available to help ensure your success throwing boomerangs.

Boomerangs are like little airplane wings - they need to "fly," and being light and small is advantageous, especially when a child is the thrower.

Our plastic boomerangs have custom-molded airfoils, while many "boomerang" products elsewhere do not have proper airfoils at all. Without proper airfoils, a boomerang cannot return or even turn properly. A real boomerang is usually lightweight and smaller than one might anticipate. It does take practice and some arm strength to throw boomerangs successfully. We offer everything you need to be successful, including instructions and guidance to help your child learn about and throw boomerangs.

For children 7-13 years old, a high-quality foam boomerang like the Sharkrang is an excellent choice. These are safe, extremely fun, and can be thrown and caught by most kids above 7 with some practice.

Teenagers who have played sports like baseball or football can usually learn to throw and catch a conventional boomerang after some practice. It's a learned skill, similar to golf, where small adjustments in the throw can significantly improve thrower precision.

For adult competitions, the boomerangs are generally a little heavier and faster than those for children. Many teenagers compete in boomerang competitions, but these boomerangs are generally intended for ages 13 and above.
